Two Days on Dartmoor | Be Proud Last weekend our Ten Tors teams took part in the final selection weekend on Dartmoor – and they certainly made it count. Two full days on the open moor, with clear skies, sunshine and mile after mile of tough terrain. From an early 7.15am start on Saturday to a 4.15am rise on Sunday, the commitment, resilience and teamwork on display were outstanding. Well done to everyone who took part. For those selected for the final team, you've earned your place. You supported each other, kept going when it got tough, and showed you're ready for what lies ahead. And to those who weren't selected this time, or who made the difficult decision to step back – be proud. You challenged yourself, pushed beyond your comfort zone and showed real strength of character. Every mile walked, every checkpoint reached and every early start mattered. Ten Tors isn't just about the finish line. It's about the experience, the growth, and the memories made along the way. A huge well done to all our Ten Tors students, and sincere thanks to our wonderful team of experienced volunteers without whom this incredible experience simply wouldn't be the same. #TenTors #DHSG #BeProud #Dartmoor

Debate England Development Squad 2026 We are delighted to share the fantastic news that Isabella (Year 9) has been successfully selected for the Debate England Development Squad 2026, following a highly competitive national selection process. Isabella is one of just 12 students chosen from over 100 applicants nationwide, spanning Years 9–12, and is now attending elite coaching sessions delivered by Team England. Earlier this week, Isabella was also invited to take part in an exhibition debate held at the English-Speaking Union, Dartmouth House, London, where she had the opportunity to meet and network with fellow debaters and coaches from across the Debate England squads. We are incredibly proud of Isabella's achievement and look forward to seeing her continue to develop her passion for debate. She is enthusiastic about using this opportunity to inspire and encourage more girls at DHSG to get involved and build these valuable life skills. Congratulations, Isabella – a remarkable achievement!
