An Unforgettable Culture Day Celebration!
On Friday 13th February our school community came together for an inspiring Culture Day, celebrating the rich diversity that makes us who we are.
In the lead-up to the event, our Diversity Council and Amnesty Club delivered assemblies exploring countries currently facing humanitarian crises. These presentations encouraged reflection, empathy and greater global awareness across the school.
Students also took part in an interactive Culture Day quiz, created by the Diversity Council, which brought energy, teamwork and plenty of competitive spirit to the celebrations.
At lunchtime, we were treated to a showcase of traditional cultural dress. Students proudly walked across the stage, sharing the country they were representing. It was a powerful celebration of heritage, identity and belonging.
We also enjoyed a cultural cuisine buffet and bake sale, generously supported by students and families. The range of dishes truly reflected the diversity within our community and we are proud that proceeds will be donated to Amnesty International in support of their vital human rights work.
This entire event was led by our dedicated Diversity Council, and we would like to give special recognition to Ayah (Year 12), whose outstanding leadership, organisation and commitment have been instrumental in making both the council and this event such a success. She has been truly exceptional.
Culture Day reflects our ongoing commitment to cultural awareness, diversity, inclusion and equity. By celebrating our differences and learning from one another, we continue to build a school community where everyone feels seen, valued and respected.
We are incredibly proud of all the students who helped make this day so meaningful.
