Devonport High School for Girls is looking for an experienced Catering Assistant to join our friendly Catering
Team to assist with the preparation and service of freshly-cooked meals.

We are a highly successful and oversubscribed 11-18 selective grammar school with approximately 850
students on roll. Our catering services are delivered in-house and we pride ourselves on a varied menu
providing the right balance between good quality, healthy food and value for money.

Applicants for this role should have good communication and teamwork skills, be able to relate well to adults
and young people and have a minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate. Previous experience of working in a
kitchen would be an advantage.

The role is for 2 x 15 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, either Monday to Friday 10.00am – 1.00pm or Monday
to Friday 12.30pm – 3.30pm. The salary is Grade B, Points 3 - 4 (£24,027 – 24,404), actual salary (£8,161 -
£8,290).
