The successful candidates will be required to supervise classes/groups of students undertaking pre-prepared
work in the absence of teaching staff. They will also manage student behaviour, assist teachers in lesson
delivery and contribute to the overall ethos, aims and work of the school. If you are required for cover you will
either be contacted by 8.00am on the day or contacted on the previous day.

All staff employed to carry out supply work are paid on a fixed hourly rate of £22. For every hour you are
covering a lesson we will pay an additional 10% of your time to make sure that you have time to prepare in
advance in order to deliver lessons effectively, thus a 1-hour lesson will be paid for 1 hour and 6 minutes. We
endeavour wherever possible to offer blocks of time. A full day rate, which includes morning registration, will
be £126.50.

As a Supply Teacher, you will be required to undertake an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service
and to provide two professional referees. One referee should be your present or last employer, if possible. You
will also be required to complete an annual declaration and to attend training in safeguarding and PREVENT
annually.
