    Devonport High School for Girls – End of Middle Years and Upper Years performance

    We are extremely proud of the achievements of our students and congratulate them on their excellent examination results.

    GCSE Summer 2025

    • 69.7% of grades achieved were grades 7 to 9 or top grades at GCSE (A/A* equivalent)

    • 99.2% Basics Standard Pass, which is the percentage of students achieving grades 9-4 in both English and mathematics.

    • 98% Basics Strong Pass, which is the percentage of students achieving 9-5 in both English and mathematics.

    • Attainment 8: 73.8 (grade 7 average), which is our students average total point score across a suite of 8 qualifying subjects.

    EBacc:

    • 87% of the Year 11 cohort were entered for the English Baccalaureate meaning they studied at least English, mathematics, History or Geography, a modern foreign language and the sciences.

    • 78.9% English Baccalaureate Standard Pass, which is the percentage of students achieving 9-4 in English, mathematics, a humanities (History or Geography), a modern foreign language and the sciences.

    • 73.2% English Baccalaureate Strong Pass, which is the percentage of students achieving 9-5 in English, mathematics, a humanities (History or Geography), a modern foreign language and the sciences.

    • EBacc average point score – 7.0

    • EBacc English element average point score – 7.7

    • EBacc Maths element average point score – 7.1

    • EBacc Sciences element average point score – 7.1

    • EBacc Languages element average point score – 5.7

    • EBacc Humanities element average point score – 7.0

    Destinations:

    • 100% stayed in education or went into employment after finishing key stage 4 (Year 11).

    A level Summer 2025

    • %A*-B grades: 64.5%

    • A Level average point score per entry/average grade: 39/B

    • Progress score: -0.24, a measure of how much progress our students made compared with similar students nationally


    Destinations (2023 leavers): 92%, percentage of students progressing to education, apprenticeships or employment

    Retention (2024 leavers): 96%, percentage of students who completed their main programme of study
